"Queer Eye" Review

How are we doing, motherlovers?
It has been such a long time since I blogged.
No real reason as to why not, it just hasn't happened.

Also, name change for ya.

So, I have spent most of my time working, going to school, cooking and watching Netflix.
Besides cooking random recipes I have found, I have spent quite an amount of time watching "Queer Eye".

OM-FUCKING-G, YA'LL.
Those are the words to use.

This show is a Netflix original but it's a remake, like most things are today, of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, which personally, I have never seen, but I have heard so many great things about.

So, when, I stumbled across Queer Eye, It was a show I just could not put down. The men they makeover, from Tom and his redneck margaritas to the amazing Covington Fire Department, melt your heart, and at times the panties, as you watch them go through a transformation filled with self confidence, self love, and a new sense of acceptance of themselves and the men who get them there.

A lot of what I heard was that this show is about acceptance, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy was about tolerance, and if you haven't figured it out by the name, the host are all gay, and they have they most amazing nickname, The Fab 5, along with a stunning loft, which I am sooo going to have one day.
The host consist of Karamo Brown who does Culture, Tan France who is our Fashion expert, Bobby Berk who does the design for every renovation in every home and home away from homes, Antoni Porowski who takes care of diet and nutrition, and my personal favorite, Jonathan Van Ness, grooming, and giiirl, that hair!!

Yas, queen, Yasss!!!

It is all filmed in the state of Georgia, in which a lot of people aren't as open and accepting of the LGBTQ community, not that all don't because that would be insane and untrue. They travel all over Georgia to meet their next Faboulous project and help lead them to a path of acceptance that they probably wouldn't have done so themselves. And at the end of each episode, some of the guys give tips for daily life, like adding jalapeños to your margarita for an extra dose of spice, which by the way, if you haven't tried, you are seriously missing out on a dool-dripping drink.

With that being said, in the next season, I hope to see some real challenges. Yes, this was a heart touching season with amazing men who are already accepting of the Fab 5, but what if they run into someone who isn't accepting of five strange gay men ravaging through their closets? What then? Yet, at the end of the day it is a show, and one worth watching.

So, what are ya doing, honey?
Grab a marg and get to watching.
This a show that will open up your heart to a whole new you that you have yet to discover.
Slay, queens, slay!!
