Hey motherlovers,
Does anyone still look up at clouds?
I looked up just now, and it was majestic and grand in form over the light blue sky, that to me it appeared to be a phoenix.
I haven't looked up in such a long time, it was refreshing.
Nostalgic.
Anyways..
I have been quiet for a bit?
Did you miss me?
I have been quiet for a bit?
Did you miss me?
Please confirm.
Other than that this week was a fun one.
My sisters and I went to the zoo yesterday, along with my nephews, from left to right, Me, my youngest sister with my oldest nephew, and my second youngest sister.
I realized three things quickly...
1. Being an adult at the Zoo, not as fun as I thought it would be
2. It actually depressed me a bit
3. Being a parent seems, and must be, exhausting.
I saw that only kids under the age of ten were brought out to the zoo. And that is a heck of a lot of energy already. Especially when they are excited about the caged animals.
Oh, and that, just made me feel shitty. Poor animals, never to roam in the wildlife, yet they won't ever be prey, or predator. They looked sad, at least to me. And in turn, made me sad.
Not being able to fly far enough, run, eat the way they should. Also, knowing that some are born in captivity doesn't help either...
Ahem..
One I did love were the sea otters...they were soo happy and carefree as they did their little flips, along with the bird feeding because they flocked to us and the snake petting.
It will, however, tire them out because on the way home, both babies were out. So great way to do that!
On another note, they had this fun educating show in which they brought out animals and gave us facts on them. We saw the chicken, the Opposum, the shore bird, and an owl. You may wonder why the O is capitalized and here is a fun fact brought to you by the Ft. Worth Zoo, Possums are found in Australia and Opposums in North America, so there, you learned something from my trip as well, but don't quote me on that!! It was a fun, small exhibition that got me off my feet for a bit.
So, if you ever find yourself in Texas, or live in and have never been, like moi, go check out the Ft. Worth Zoo. Besides what went on in my head, it was very nice, and we went on Wednesday, which is half off admission, $7 per adult. So, definitely recommend going on the weekday to beat the crowds.
And take food, save on money!!
And take food, save on money!!
And, for the kids, it is a very well spent day and worth seeing their face.
Sad that only a few pictures we took since my battery ran out, and the little I had needed to take me back home.
Muah!
